Tips for Becoming the Best Taxi Fighter

I didn’t know what to call this post. I hope the name fits fine.

I have been fighting my way to work and back home almost every day for four years. As time goes by, you get to learn a trick or two as to how to get into a taxi effectively. This post is for all the ladies out there and some men. (I don’t think men have that much of a problem but some do.) These tips come in no special order. I’m not saying it will work every time, but it works for me. Continue reading

Dear Bole Road Constructors

Hello there. Big visions you’ve got there, huh? I admire that. To change the most famous road into a boring one takes a lot of courage.

In the beginning, I sort of thought that you were doing a great job. You started off with one small portion of this amazing street and demolished it. I sometimes look out the window from my office and I watch silently as the excavator tears up the asphalt in one minute  which took years to perfect. But we all dealt because with every ruin, came alternative solutions. Continue reading

An icon of San Francisco, California, the cable car system forms part of the intermodal urban transport network operated by the San Francisco Municipal Railway. This is the best way to get to the fisherman's wharf!

No boy wants a toy unless another boy is playing with it. true. The easiest way to land a guy you want is to get into a relationship. Sounds like a  catch 22 but works like a charm. The minute you're off the market its as if your body starts to send signals to every man (The good looking ones) telling them that your fruit is ripe for the picking.

I HAVE A NEW CATEGORY FOR MY BLOG! Interviews!

It’s been over a year since I’ve began blogging, and after seeing the number of Ethiopian bloggers, I see where I can squeeze into: the Entertainment section. So while I love writing about random things, I want to make my blog as entertaining as possible.

For my interviews section, I will be interviewing several people whom I think deserve to have their stories told. For my first victim, I chose Vahe Tilbian, an Ethiopian Armenian singer, song-writer, residing in the New Flower. I met him about a year ago at a ZOMA Magazine’s contributors meeting. Ever since, we met there regularly, became facebook friends and stayed in touch.

Vahe has a story to tell. Here are some random but fun things you should know about him. Continue reading

Valentine’s Day!!!!!!!!

The day is finally here. The day that we’ve been looking forward to celebrating since the New Year. The day when dudes spend all their money trying to impress their ladies with all the things they love: chocolates and lovey dovey stuff. The day when these ladies think that they are worth so much for these dudes. The day when the chocolate factories, flower stores, and build-a-bear double their production and rip people off. The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 16,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
